Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026
The short version
- The consultation is free, and asking for one doesn't commit you to anything.
- Paid work only starts after you sign an engagement letter that spells out the exact scope and flat fee.
- We'll always tell you the truth about your options, but no one can promise what the IRS will decide.
- We're a private firm, not the IRS. You never pay the IRS through us.
- The information on this site is general guidance, not advice for your specific situation.
1Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website, request a consultation, or use our client portal. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2Who we are
Dedicated Tax Relief is a private, 100% online tax resolution firm. Our licensed tax professionals represent individuals and businesses before the IRS and state tax agencies.
3Free consultations
Requesting a consultation is free and doesn't create a client relationship or obligate you to hire us. During the consultation we'll review the information you share and explain the options that may apply to you. We may decide we're not the right fit for your case, and if so we'll tell you.
4Becoming a client
You become a client only after you and our firm both sign a written engagement letter. The engagement letter describes the services we'll provide, the fee, and what's included. If anything in the engagement letter conflicts with these terms, the engagement letter controls.
To represent you, we'll ask you to sign IRS Form 2848 or 8821 (and any state equivalent). You can end our representation at any time by telling us in writing.
5Fees and payments
- Our fees are flat and agreed in writing before any paid work begins.
- Our fees are not based on how much the IRS or a state reduces your debt, except where professional rules allow it.
- The engagement letter explains when payments are due and our refund policy if you end the engagement early.
- Our fee is separate from any tax, penalties or interest you owe the government.
6No guaranteed results
Every case depends on the taxpayer's own facts, and the final decision on any payment plan, settlement, penalty relief or hardship status belongs to the IRS or the state. We will work hard for the best outcome available to you, but we cannot and do not guarantee any particular result, amount of savings, or timeline. Examples on this site are illustrations, not promises.
7Your responsibilities
- Give us complete, accurate and truthful information, and tell us when something changes.
- Send us IRS or state letters promptly, especially ones with deadlines.
- Keep filing required returns and making any agreed payments while your case is open.
- Keep your client portal login private.
Our work relies on what you tell us. We aren't responsible for problems caused by information that is incomplete or inaccurate.
8Website information
The content on this site, including the IRS letter lookup, is general information to help you understand common tax situations. It isn't tax, legal or financial advice for your specific situation, and using it doesn't create a client relationship. Tax laws and IRS procedures change, so always check with a professional before acting.
9Uploads and the client portal
Only upload documents that belong to you or that you're authorized to share. Don't upload anything unlawful, harmful, or unrelated to your tax matter. We may remove files that break these rules. How we protect your uploads is described in our Privacy Policy.
10Our content
The text, design, logo and graphics on this site belong to Dedicated Tax Relief. You're welcome to view and share pages for personal use, but please don't copy, sell, or reuse our content without written permission.
11Limits on liability
This website is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages that come from using the website, or for interruptions, errors, or links to other sites. Our responsibilities for client work are set out in your engagement letter. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that can't be limited by law.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute about them will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless your engagement letter says otherwise.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Changes don't affect an engagement letter you've already signed.
